Songs for Sight, 2020
Due to the pandemic, a Concert for the Blind was not feasible in 2020. Instead, The Hirst Brothers worked alongside Fighting Blindness Canada to produce the first Songs for Sight virtual concert. Playing alongside artists such as Caitlin Charters, and Canadian Country artist, Justin Tyler, the virtual show was received with heaps of positive feedback.
Thanks to the Hirst Brothers friends, family, and fans; the Sight Savers concert contributed to over $9,600 for vision research. Such generous contributions are responsible for pushing the Hirst Brothers to the #4 Top Fundraisers for Fighting Blindness Canada in 2020.
“Although it felt very different from the typical Hirst Brothers Concert for the Blind, the virtual Songs for Sight had some key benefits. Fans were able to join across various countries and timezones to celebrate our passion for live music and raising awareness for the visually impaired. Given the circumstances, this was the best we could do, and we’re looking forward to a time where we can once again perform in-person. We’re already making plans for a bigger and better show, and will take what we’ve learned from previous fundraisers to ensure we continuously out-do ourselves.
For all of those that have supported us along the way, we simply cannot thank you enough.”
